This Privacy Policy explains how Portfauxl.io ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our fantasy trading platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — email address, username, display name, and (optionally) a profile photo and bio.
Authentication data — if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those providers.
Usage data — in-game activity such as virtual trades, portfolios, tournament participation, and preferences, used to operate the game.
Payment information — when you subscribe or buy Arena Credit packs, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited transaction details (such as status and a token) from Stripe.
Device & technical data — IP address, browser/device type, and similar information collected automatically, including via our content-delivery and security provider (Cloudflare).

2. How we use information

To create and operate your account and provide the Service;
To run competitions, leaderboards, and notifications you opt into;
To process subscriptions and purchases;
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
To communicate with you about your account and service updates.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, including:

Stripe — payment processing;
Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, and security;
Cloud hosting and market-data providers — to operate the platform and display prices.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service. Public profile details (such as your username, avatar, and leaderboard standings) are visible to other users by design.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as your theme), and secure the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account (see below).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@portfauxl.io. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted transport, access controls, and a security proxy — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using it, you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other countries with different data-protection laws.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
